Jodha Akbar - 15.August.2013

Post by ShaliniRobinson on 2013-08-16, 00:39

The king did listen to the queen’s logic. He knows what brings her fear – while it is not the king, or that fact that her food burnt his insides, but yes … her heart yearns for the peace of her family and loved ones. She fears that he would ruin their peace by telling them what he really thinks of his new queen.

Jalal… maybe you should heed the warnings of Begum Ruqaiya and Maaham Anga.

Begum Ruqaiya has warned him well --- and her warning is a well delivered four part warning.
1—Jalal, even though in terms of hatred, has a constant thought of Jodha in his mind. Even if it is for the purpose of humiliating her, defeating her and showing her the place he thinks she has, Jalal’s mind is occupied with Jodha.
The matter of warning is that Jodha would take over Jalal’s heart.
Remember Jodha… just a couple of days back, I asked you that if Ruqaiya is confident of ruling over Jalal’s mind, where does that leave you? Ruqaiya answers the question today – it leaves you ruling over Jalal’s heart, if not in love then in constant pursuit of hatred and revenge.
Though as per Maaham Anga, there is a very thin line between hatred and love as both abide in the same heart.

2 – And that was only part 1 of her warning. The second part was even more interesting. She was quick to point out – and very correctly – that instead of punishing Jodha, Jalal was making a habit of enduring her mistakes. What Jalal thought was becoming immune to Jodha’s poison, Ruqaiya pointed out as nurturing a weakness instead of removing it. Her view is simple: he should punish her and put an end to it.
Jalal, however, wants to torture Jodha. Ruqaiya understands this of him well, but her warning is still heed-worthy.

3 – Ruqaiya openly states to Jalal that she too has a right over Jalal’s plaything. She was also within her rights to toy around with Jodha. Where does Ruqaiya get such confidence? Why, of course, Jalal declares that he is closest to Ruqaiya because she gives words to his thoughts.
Such open declaration displays Jalal’s trust that he has for Ruqaiya.
So, if Jalal trusts her so, they know each other so well that she gives words to his thoughts and they both know this… where does their relationship lack as a husband and wife?
That Ruqaiya answers herself in her 4th warning – which Jalal misses hearing

4 – Jalal has little understanding and no control over Ruqaiya’s mind, whereas she is has both a good understanding and a real good hold over Jalal’s mind. She is easily able to see how his thoughts go, control them and even sway them as she wants.
She can point out his mistake of making a habit of Jodha’s rebellion. She can show him the danger of giving Jodha what she wants by hating her. She can also twist him by reminding him of how he used to settle score by the way of sword – the king whom no one could defeat - instead now gets defeated by Jodha.

Ruqaiya claims her hold over Jalal’s other wife… this isn’t something he would grant anyone else.
What’s more, Ruqaiya now has made him give his word --- a word from the king that Ruqaiya can have whatever she wants whenever she wants it.
One thing though isn’t clear – does this word come into effect if Ruqaiya wins? As of now both Jalal and Ruqaiya are confident that Jodha would lose to Ruqaiya in chess. So Jalal doesn’t even think twice before giving his word to Ruqaiya.
Ruqaiya can now ask anything!

The real warning, Jalal? … the green chillies of Ruqaiya are more venomous than the poison of Jodha.
~
Btw Jalal… do you see what you’ve become?
You hear out Ruqaiya and walk to Jodha. You hear out Jodha and walk back to Ruqaiya.
Dear or dear! Even the king… tossing from one woman to another.
Where’s your own brain, Jalal!?
~
So, Jalal didn’t squeak a word to Jodha’s father but invited them to stay on!
He seems to bring her to a point where people are just about to humiliate her and then he brings her out of that situation – just to let her into deeper trouble. He is just letting her know he rules. He can let her be humiliated if he wants, but would not if he wants. It’s only his will and she is at his mercy. He leaves no chance to let her know that he is the boss.
~
So… in other news…

Jodha meets her step-son. Cute lil’ chap!!

And someone please kill, Adham! I personally like Jalal’s method of killing Adham in the movie: throw him off the roof, then check if he’s alive, and yes he is… so throw him again - on his head, and make sure the creep’s dead!!

~
Though it ignited him more than the chillies, it was serious cute to see Jalal eavesdropping on Jodha!
Tch, tch! Jalal… that was petty! Grow up!

Loved the way you have analysed Ruq's and Jalals relationship...she is his voice..but this time around he is not heeding too much as he is deeply intoxicated in Jo's hatred...the magical pull! :)

Forget Royalty....This is Jalal with Ekta's touch! :lol!:

Yes Jalal pls throw Adham down the tallest building you have..uff cant bear him.
