'IPKKND Season 2' opens up well on Star Plus UK
The second season of ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ on Star Plus has made a decent start in the UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.
The show, which returned with new actors, pulled in a respectable 108,500 viewers at 18:00 – peaking at 123,400 viewers. It beat old shows like ‘Saathiya’ (70,700), ‘Meri Bhabhi’ (88,200), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (60,400) and ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (52,300).

Overnights: ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ climbs back to top
‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ has managed to push rival shows out the way to climb its way back to the top last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.
‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ grabbed 217,500 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 183,500 viewers and ‘Meri Bhabhi’ with 177,000 viewers.
The others in the pecking order were ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (172,600), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (134,200), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (128,600), ‘Veera’ (84,500), ‘Saathiya’ (67,600), ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (65,700) and ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2′ (25,400).

Overnights: ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ back on top in UK
Star Plus’ game of musical chairs at the top of the UK ratings continued with ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ taking the lead, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.
‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ at 22:00 pulled in 158,100 viewers – peaking at 200,700 viewers, followed by ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 150,600 viewers and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ in third with 142,800 viewers.
The others in the pecking order were ‘Veera’ (126,500), ‘Meri Bhabhi’ (106,600), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (106,300), ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2′ (72,900), ‘Saathiya’ (67,000) and ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (59,200).

Overnights: ‘SaraswatiChandra’ zooms back to top
‘SaraswatiChandra’ made a splash in the UK ratings last night by taking the pole position, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.
‘SaraswatiChandra’ was on top of the ratings with 247,000 viewers – peaking at 284,700 viewers, followed by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ in second with 215,300 viewers and third was ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ with 200,800 viewers.
The others in the pecking order were ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (185,500), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (152,700), ‘Veera’ (147,700), ‘Meri Bhabhi’ (143,200), ‘Saathiya’ (136,900), ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (84,500) and ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2′ (38,600).

@ Aasudi, I had thought Indian TRP junta is very fickle but UK ratings too fluctuate too much. Every day there was a new TRP topper there. I guess IPK was the only one which was the undisputed leader there when it was running. After that the leaders keep shifting places or like the article says “keep playing musical chairs”

who will dare to touch the remote except for volume up , while ipk Is running on the screen ? Question  Twisted Evil 

majority 's state is like as that of us right now .... just playing around with the remote :lol!:

actually sumi , I don't think the makers have high expectations with this show anyway ..... otherwise they wudnt have axed on their own leg by saying concept and story is different and show the same .... might b since its first initial days , they want viewers to have a slight feel of ipk .... so r going the ipk way ..... but I believe the love-hate-romantic scenes will go the ipk way forever ...... so do the co-incidences and their occurring formats

but seems like it will b more of a family  drama than  a lovestory  :)
