Jodha Akbar - 18.September.2013

Post by ShaliniRobinson on 2013-09-19, 11:11

And Begum Jodha does it again...!

She walks into the Emporer's chamber with a witness - the four year old Raheem. Cute, yes. Effective, erm.....

I cannot imagine what is wrong with Jodha. It seems all her intelligence, foresight, and understanding is limited to her own 'kaksh' in the Harem.

While she is in the harem, she foresses all the good reasons for not approaching Jalal in a hurry, not going against Maaham without valid proof, not using Raheem's testimony. The moment she is out of her room, she seems bent on doing exactly what she said would be stupid to do.

What is it, Jodha? Do you lose your senses in Jalal's presence? Is Moti right that you're thinking of Jalal all the time, and your reasons for doing so are just an eyewash?

Oh well, jokes apart!

Jodha isn't exactly using her senses. One thought she was smart, but one is proved wrong again and again.

Well, let's see how this round goes!

At least, she now sees that Jalal is surrounded by people who use him for his power, and Jalal is unaware of his true well-wishers.

Okay! Ruquaiya had a way better approach with Maaham. She didn't disclose her own doubts and made reasonable progress without raising much suspicion.

She also told Maaham that Jodha was wrong to accuse her, and added that Maaham could've used the situation to oust Jodha - thus, letting Maaham know that she is against Jodha, if not exactly with Maaham.

Even though Ruquaiya holds her suspicions on what proof might Jodha have gotten her hands on - she doesn't run to Jodha to have her spill the beans. She's treading carefully - which is commendable. Seeing that she is the mother who lost her child and she is the woman who lost her ambition because of someone's malice, Ruqaiya shows carefulness when it comes to dealing with Jalal, Jodha, and Maaham.

Ruqu also makes an interesting point - the three pillars of Jalal's life: Hamida, Ruquaiya, and Maaham.
And Jodha already knows that out of these, two pillars are false.

Eager to see how she proceeds next.

Does Maaham have a bad support system? Maybe - when one thinks of Adam Khan and now.. Resham.

Maaham is the reason that Jalal's family line has no heir. Resham is the hand by which she accomplished this. And this time, has Maaham herself murdered the unborn heir.

Has she created a weak spot - Resham? If Resham is ever caught, is it certain that no information would leak out? Well, Maaham certainly puts her trust in Resham completely. She even goes on to tell Resham the extent of her trust.

Or is Resham Maaham's intended chosen one - sacrificial lamb when the time comes. Maaham knows for sure that Jalal would not rest till the murderer is found. And now that one of the royal finger points to her own self - she needs a victim.

It's not just Jodha - now, Ruqaiya is also curious, after all.

Hmm... let us see.

Thank you, buddy!

I do think I am impressed with Ruqu. Most of all, she knows when to speak and when to keep her mouth shut ;)and how much to speak!

oh well.. feel bad for Resham but someone will have to go for this track to be over and the story to carry on!

Loved reading your post Shalini ....
Just one query .. These eunuchs inside the harem were used as baandies or as spies or as guards .. How come Hoshiyar and Resham have spl status .. With bright clothes .. While the other guards are in black ??
