A die hard fan of JA

Post by neha on 2013-10-05, 17:39

A die hard fan of JA edited the wiki page of Jodha Aka Mariam-Uz-Zamani . Found this para which never existed before on the page :lol!:  The page shows last edited today @8.17 ROFL

In a marriage of political alliance, Mariam uz-Zamani was married to Akbar on February 9, 1562 at Sambhar, Rajasthan, India. She was 22 days older than her husband. She became a secondary wife of Akbar after Empress Ruqaiya Sultan Begum, who was Akbar's first wife and chief consort,[2] and Empress Salima Sultan Begum, the widow of his most trusted general, Bairam Khan. As per the custom of renaming a Hindu wife, Hira Kunwari was given the title Mariam ul-Zamani ("Mary of the Age").[3] Contrary to what is depicted in some media, she was never Akbar's favourite nor his beloved.[4]

Mariam Zamani Palace, where all of Akbar's Hindu wives resided.
As, she was a Hindu Empress, she remained a devotee of lord Krishna. She gave birth to the next Mughal Emperor Jahangir and received the title of 'Mariam-uz-Zamani,which means 'Mary of the age'.At the beginnining of the marriage Mariam never loved Akbar, but Akbar beloved her from the beginning. She took part in the royal debates that were held in the DIWANE-KHAS infront of Akbar and other important ministers with other high-ranked(in harem) begums(like-Ruqaiya sultan begum, salima sultan begum,etc...).she was the most dearest and nearest begum of Akbar. Ruqaiya was also a favourite of Akbar, but as Ruqaiya was the cousin of Akbar she could not bore any child/children to her.Mariam was also the favourite of her Mother-in-law(Hamida Banu Begum) because of her politeness and brilliancy.MARIAM always respected and obeyed her.Mariam was involved in the court politics till Nur Jahan became the Empress.Mariam never lived in the Mughal Harem with other begums,Akbar built a separate palace for her.

She also jumped into the swimming pool  to rescue Rahim impressing  Akbar with her diving skills.Akbar was so impressed , he immediately went and had a Lux  Sandal-Milk bath ..which sent waves of relief  in the court and among his many wives , as they did not want  their Sar Kalamed  by hinting that the Shenshah had nested long enouff inside the brown, Mango butta suit !!  Jodha's  prestige rose high in the eyes of the courtiers by this simple act  and Maham Anga began to get scared of Jodha..

whatss HIS -Story... feminism ka zamana hai  aur Bahuaon Ka.. This is HER -Story !!

Not content with scaring Maham Anga to death, The  brave amazon, Amer Ki Mirchi decided to take on  Akbar himself !!  She resolves to teach Akbar a lesson , Soon a opportunity presents itself when Akbar is taken  away from his pleasure pots ..gone are his options of having succulent Tangdi Kebabs , Seekh Kebabs.. He is forced to go on a crash diet  by having to feed on the harra barra Kebab.. sensing that the opportunity is right on hand.. The harra Barra Kebab err Jodha  glides towards  Akbar and in no uncertain terms  informs him that She shall not share her bed with him ..which contrary to her belief  sends waves and waves of relief into the zehen of Akbar, who looks forward to this well earned holiday when he does not have to indulge in a wrestling match  on bed with Jodha..

This unselfish act also draws the admiration of the accompanying courtiers  who are impressed by the kindness and compassion of Jodha who does not use this opportunity to permanently disable the king from siring any future heir.. Overcome by her kindness, The courtiers decide to compose ode's in her praise..
