he totally least considered this one ya. Because Ruks supported Ben. Ruk was indeed giving correct ideas for long time so he just accepted. But if the same idea came from MA then he might have delayed..
so MA played knowing his weakness. She just wanted Jo to get rid .

Hunjan as per history i have no idea about her sacrifice. Jo has efficient skills which differentiated her from others.a non -mughal too.Apart from tat, akbar gave her more preference are the things for her popularity..

Not history but folklore. Have we ever come across Akbar's wives in  history? Only the wives of  jehangir and shah jahan are always mentioned in history.

Jodha ruqaiya and saleema might have been a very important part of Akbar's life and he might have loved all of them in different degrees in different ways. But his achievements and broad mindedness are more sterling and sensational than his wives.

As for ruqaiya-Akbar what is so fascinating about the love between 2 people born and brought up together in similar circumstances who always loved and lived together.  It is when 2 people with different thoughts backgrounds attitudes and ideas fall in love does the story get interesting. Before ashutosh gowariker and ekta decided to milk this appealing slice of Akbar's life not many were aware of jodha Akbar either.

Few facts about Jodha – Ref. wiki – JB = Heer Kunwari=Mariam Uz Zamani;
      1.   Though she remained a Hindu, Heer Kunwari was honoured with the title Mariam-uz-Zamani ("Mary of the Age") after she gave birth to Jahangir (salim). Despite her being a non-Muhammadan wife, she held great respect and honour in the Mughal household.

2.      She was one of the only four members of the court (another was the emperor) and the only woman to have the rank of 12,000 cavalry.

3.      Like only a few other women at the Mughal court, Mariam-uz-Zamani was granted the right to issue official documents (singularly called farman), usually the exclusive privilege of the emperor. Issuing of such orders was confined to the highest ladies of the harem such as Hamida Banu Begum, Mariam-uz-Zamani later Nur Jehan

4.        In the beginning of 1569, Akbar was gladdened by the news that his first Hindu consort, Heer Kunwari was expecting a child. An expectant Heer was sent to Sheikh's humble dwelling at Sikri during the period of her pregnancy.

5.        Mariam-uz-Zamani's Palace: The building of Akbar's Rajput wives, including Mariam-uz-Zamani, shows Gujarati influence and is built around a courtyard, with special care being taken to ensure privacy.

6.        Mariam Zamani, used her wealth and influence to build gardens, wells, and mosques around the countryside.
(Why temple is not in the list??????)

7.      Mariam uz-Zamani died in 1623.Even in her death, she remained closest to her husband. She is Akbar's only wife to be buried close to him, as per her wish.  cheers

A big hug to Reavathy for sharing this with us my dear friend ... Loved reading the real historical facts ....

MUZ must have been kept out of the Harem to safeguard her during her pregnancy .. Keeping in mind the attempts to cause abortion of Ruku ...
That point about temples must be edited out by the Muslim writer who has penned this article at that time ....

Hello Candy Good morning ...
All good works of Jodha were erazed from the documents by the later emperors as they all did not like the inclusion of hindu rajput queen's history to be added to theirs I guess ...

A very good morning manu .
you may be right yaar. Her works are just mentioned within a statement. Not like the other works done by kings it does not have any detailed script.

she might be a excellent queen in all norms and tats y the great king has done a lot(palace) and given enough importance to her,.

Yes Candy we do have lots of detailed information of all the other Hindu kings and their queens in documents .. There is so much about shivaji's mother Jhaansi ki rani ... Ashoka's times etc .. But Moghul emperors did not want any history about their ladies to be documented ... Then about a rajput queen toh bilkul bhi nahin ....
