Jodha Akbar - Curses and Blessing from the same mouth.

Curses and Blessing from Maham to Jalal.

“As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. Sow your seed in the morning and at evening let not your hands be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well”.

Jodha the wife of Jalal, to no fault of hers her children from the loins of her husband has been cursed by his forester mother (who has authority over him as a son ‘spiritually’) because of his sin against her(killing her son for justice). Let’s pause with all this justification of Jalal’s actions based on Adham and Maham’s betrayal! The spiritual and nature laws are different from ‘man’ thinking. Our Mothers and Fathers have authority over us that are divine.

This reminds me of a King in the bible who due to his power took a woman that was not his but his servant’s and indirectly murdered him to cover his tracks. Though he was honorable and fears God he ‘sinned’ in a moment of weakness! Though he thought at that moment he had solved the problem physically by himself he forgot that there is a divine (spiritual) aspect of man’s life which controls the physical. The King was punished by divine authority and a cursed placed on his Dynasty for just this one act of weakness. As a result both blessings and curses from that same source lived with him and his generations. His own children where his adversity! Though he was forgiven yet the consequences of the ‘sin’ can’t be negated so the blessings and the curses dwell in his household. Well there is nothing new under the sun. Is there? Those who will like to know what I am talking about can read 2 Samuel 11 in the bible.  These kinds of things are common in Kingdoms due to human nature and love for power.

With ‘love’ Jodha and Jalal's  'honor' to Maham they both were able to get ‘blessings’ from the same mouth that cursed them  therefore it is like the blessings and curses living together where both shall have their effects on the children of Jalal's life which Jodha is very part of. Now probably there is documentation for this aspect of the serial or it is pure fiction. However if we read the history and the events that happened in Akbar’s life you could deduced that for such things to occur in one’s life there must be some kind of curse or bad omen due to some mistake therefore the writer is try to go down that route.  Being a ‘King’ (doesn’t make one super human above divine laws) doesn’t give one ultimate power to give justice without caution nor does it exempt one from being punished for a mistake of actions or wrong justice. What we sow we reap. That is why it is very important for us not to take the laws into our own hands and step out of our domain given by the divine Maker.

We may argue that Maham is not qualify for her prayers or curses to prevail but the divine laws doesn’t see things that way and words are powerful and have life that can make or unmake us.

Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life and death and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Food for thought
6And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell. 7For every species of beasts and birds, of reptiles and creatures of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by the human race. 8But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison.… With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God;… from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way.…

Thank You Manu long hug

Yes the tongue is better zipped especially when we are upset and angry. Even when we come out of the anger or hurt mood the things said in the spiritual realm cannot be called forth back even if we regret it and say good things again!!! Both good and bad words shall still impact.
